Hindu Temple - Sri Shakti Devasthanam Temple in Bukit Rotan, Kuala Selangor.
Sri Shakti Devasthanam Temple / Sri Shakti Dhevasthanam Temple
Sri Shakti Devasthanam Temple is a Hindu Temple located at Bukit Rotan, Ijok, Selangor. This hindu temple is about 9.5 KM from Kuala Selangor town center, and about 6.6 km from the Persimpangan Ijok LATAR. Sri Shakti Devasthanam Temple in Bukit Rotan is being constructed strictly in accordance with the ancient scriptures such as the Vedas, Agamas and Sirpa (architectural) Sastras. It will be recognised as an outstanding example of Hindu Sirpa Sastras (architectural scriptures). This hindu temple will incorporate all the structures that constitute a proper Amman Temple according to Hindu Agamas.
Amongst its other unique features is a strikingly conceived island which has adopted a rare sculptural technique known as Thundu Pattirippu Pathroba Pathram. This fine and delicate technique is customarily not employed in current temple construction, even in India, due to its high degree of complexity, and, was inspired by the shrine of Sri Subramanyar in the Bragatheeswarar Temple Complex (Peria Kovil) in Tanjore, South India.
Helmed by the iconic Shivasri A. P. Muthukumara Shivachariyaar, a renowned national and regional spiritual and religious Hindu leader, the Sri Shakti Temple is not just another place of worship, but one that will stand as a prominent Hindu landmark in Malaysia.
